TRANUS Support

Modelistica provides a variety of services to provide support, consultancy and training in the application of the TRANUS integrated land use and transport modeling system. A description of the services and products offered by Modelistica in this area is given in the following paragraphs.

Certified version of Tranus

Modelistica offers a Certified Version of the Integrated Land Use and Transport Model TRANUS. This certified version is designed for institutions or firms that have to formally acquire the software with a guarantee and technical support. TRANUS may be downloaded completely free of charge with the complete documentation and may be used without any restrictions. Modelistica will make its best effort to provide support to free users, but cannot assume responsibility or respond to some specific requirements. The Certified Version of TRANUS offered by Modelistica includes the following products and services:

	The complete software and documentation in CD.
	Printed manuals and documentation.
	International delivery via courier.
	A Guarantee document signed by Modelistica addressed to the institution, firm or person that acquires the Certified Version. In this document Modelistica guarantees that it is the latest version of the software and that it has been tested extensively.
	Technical support by Internet for a year with priority. Modelistica's staff will reply to questions related to the Tranus system by email in a timely fashion.
	Like any other version of the Tranus system, the Certified Version does not have restrictions of any kind. It may be installed in multiple computers and used for an unlimited period of time.

The price of a Certified Version of Tranus is US $ 400, including international delivery.

Training programs

Modelistica has considerable experience in training programs for the application of the Tranus system. The majority of courses have been one or two weeks full-time, in rooms equipped with PCs to allow participants a direct experience with the software. Participants are usually provided with a CD containing the complete software, documentation, sample data files and other material in English. Such courses may be given in any country. The cost is based on standard professional fees of the tutor or tutors, plus travel and accommodation, and possible rent of the PC room.

Based on its extensive experience in the use of the Tranus modeling system, Modelistica is able to offer a variety of services, including the following:

	Advice on a Tranus application by Internet: Qualified staff with experience in the use of the modeling system will reply to questions and provide advice and assistance to all aspects related to a Tranus application, such as model design, data gathering, related GIS data bases, calibration, building of scenarios, and economic, financial and environmental evaluation. The terms are usually agreed upon a time basis with reduced professional fees.
	Advice on a Tranus application in person in all areas described above. The terms are usually agreed upon a time basis with standard professional fees, plus possible expenses.
	Consultancy in the application of Tranus: Modelistica takes responsibility for parts or all of the modeling aspects of a project. In many cases Modelistica has taken charge of organizing the data base and model calibration. In other cases, Modelistica has taken responsibility for all aspects related to modeling, usually including economic, financial and environmental evaluation.

As described in the Services page, Modelistica may take charge of whole projects, taking full responsibility for transport planning, urban-regional planning, highway design, traffic studies and designs, surveys, and others.
