Mexico City (2003-2004)

Modelistica participated in two projects in Mexico City between 2003 and 2004. The first was a demand study and detailed design of an exclusive busway called Eje 8, of about 26 Km long. The second was the financial evaluation of both the Eje 8 and Insurgentes busways. In both cases extensive use of the TRANUS model was made, applying it to the whole of the Metropolitan Area, among the largest in the world, with more than 19 million habs. The project also included the physical design of the corridor with detailed engineering, operations design, environmental impact, traffic provisions, and other additional aspects such as legal, administrative, organizational and insitutional.
